That's right! Odin's Abode is back after almost two and a half months of hiatus! My work schedule is finally starting to even itself out (though we are still understaffed by far which requires me to work insane hours) and I should have some time to start updating again! I'm going to try to start updating at least on the weekends, and on mornings that don't have class (like today) just to get back into the feel of things. Maybe I'll get the urge up to start doing mass photo dumps and schedule posts weeks in advance. Who knows!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday's posts are already scheduled and ready to go, so make sure to check back!

Sorry about that guys. I got all good at making sure there was updates every once in a while, then suddenly nothing!

For those who are worried, we here at Odin's Abode were not affected by the giant earthquake and tsunami. There was some shaking that, according to my husband, made the cats freak out, but that was it. We are far away from any of the nuclear problems as well.

HOWEVER, March was the end of the school year and April is the beginning of the school year, so we're jammed at work training new teachers, making sure textbooks are in, going over and re-making flashcards that have been destroyed by curious little hands, etc. Give me another week or so for it to all calm down and hopefully I'll have something up!

Odin and Freya celebrated their 2nd birthdays with no problems on the 17th. I'll try to get pics up of them eating the special chicken strips as soon as I can!

After over half a month of no updates, we're back! And just in time for Valentine's Day!

Work has slowed down a bit, but will speed up again the first few weeks of March as one of our teachers is returning home to the US and several of our kindergartens have graduation ceremonies I must attend. However, until then I plan on updating as much as I can! Here's to hope that I can get a good backlog of posts pre-scheduled! :)

Sorry for the random leave of absence. Many of the kindergartens I teach English at are getting ready for their end-of-the-school-year plays and whatnot, and several of them have asked me to help the kids to English skits. It all comes down to me being very busy the next few weeks.

Software problems still abound here at Odin's Abode.

Three reinstalls later and we still can't figure out why Photoshop restarts the computer every time I run an Unsharp Mask after doing color adjustments.

If anyone would like to donate a new copy of CS5, I'd appreciate it, but as it costs almost half of my monthly paycheck, I don't think I'll be getting a new legal working copy myself any time soon.

So until further notice, I'm afraid that this blog will have to go on hiatus. In the mean time, I'll still keep taking photos of Odin and Freya so that when I can bring this blog back I'll have plenty of photos.

The two weeks spent travelling with my mother were incredibly awesome, and I was sad to send her off yesterday. Even sadder that I have to go back to work today.

The cats, on the other hand, were not happy with us barely being home for the past two weeks, as you can see from Freya's disapproving look as we try to play with her:

Things will be back to a normal schedule this week. Thinking of possibly restarting my original Chino Goes To Japan blog with some pictures from our travels. The poor blog hasn't been updated for at least a year due to work saying "screw it" with trying to branch out onto the internet. I think I'm going to make it my own blog, with a few Japanese learning websites on the side. We'll see. Still depends if I have enough time and energy when I get home at night.
